This project involved converting an unused meeting room into a pub-themed room, to encourage residents, visitors and their families to use the room. Artworks were made with a group of elderly residents including: stained glass effect windows, pub memorabilia, copies of vintage advertising and logos, personalised beer labels and beermats, mosaics, paintings and drawings, original Toby jug models.
A craftsman has hand-built a functioning wooden bar, which has been stained to add effect. Original breweriana items, including brass pumps and bar logos, add to the verisimilitude of a real bar.
