KS2 pupils have worked together to explore artworks
from four World Faiths. After creating individual
drawings and designs they have worked
collaboratively on large scale prints and
low-relief clay tiles.
In the example above, the final image is created from 30 air-drying clay tiles, each tile approximately A4 in size. Each pupil in the class has been responsible for transferring part of the original design on to their tile. They have used clay tools to add pattern and depth to the design. Once dry, the tile has been overpainted by the pupils using acrylic paints.
The final artworks have been framed and are on permanent display in school, as part of a broader celebration of the multicultural and multi-faith nature of the school.
